The brief
An independent music artist needed a digital identity of her own and a place for it to live. The brand was built first, and the site came out of it.
It comes from Latin and means Lunar Seas. Early astronomers named the moon's dark patches this way because they resemble large concentrations of water, but they are not. They are vast, dark, basaltic plains formed by meteorite impacts.
Maria Lunares represents the view that from an outside perspective, a human being can appear to be something other than what they truly are.
